He's so cute!

Hello Crafters,
I have a funny story before I show you my card tonight. Actually, it is a funny story about how this card came to be! My friend was over the other day and asked if I could make a birthday card for her to give. She wanted a Winnie the Pooh on it. My response was I don't have a cartridge with Winnie the Pooh. I started to look through my cartridges saying things like "I wonder if my Mickey and Friends cartridge would have a Pooh on it?" "Pooh is a Disney character right?" Then all at once I saw it....the Winnie the Pooh cartridge I bought opening weekend at my local Michael's in October. I bought it along with all the other Disney cartridges I own for $19.99! And yup I have NEVER used it...actually forgot I even owned it lol. The really funny part is now that I am typing this I even remember my other friend using this cartridge of mine to make a bunch of stuff for her baby's room not that long ago!
Needless to say I then got crafting and created this card.....
Please say something like this has happened to you too!?

Dad's Birthday Card

Hello Everyone,
Yesterday was my dad's birthday and I just had to show you the card that I created for him. It was so super easy and I just love how it turned out. I may need to make a few more of these just to have in my stash! I used a freebie digital stamp from The Sherlocks Home and as you will see below there was very min. colouring and the sentiment for the outside and the inside were included in the freebie with the picture. How much better can it get!?

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Sparkles forum challenges - Anything goes Challenge #10

Happy Crafting!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge # 6

Hello Crafters,
It's Sunday and you know what that means...a new challenge over on Birthday Sundaes. This week it is a challenge for sure, it's a Special Birthday Challenge! You must a create birthday gift packaging, party favor, invitation, cupcake toppers/wrappers, banners, treat boxes, etc.

I have never made a banner before and decided to make one for a friend's little girl who was turning two this weekend. All in all the banner was super easy to make (a little time consuming but fun). Taking pictures of it was a whole other story however. It was a nightmare! I used a ton of glitter which my camera hates, the entire thing was the length of a wall and really high when we hung it and to top it all off the lighting was terrible. But I did what I could and I think I took enough to give you a good idea. I am glad I took some before we hung it! Although, like I said my camera hates glitter so I couldn't use the flash. All the details will be listed below the picture.
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm getting published!

Hi everyone, I am so super excited to share that I am getting one of my cards published in an upcoming issue (June to be exact) of Ginger Scrap Street Magazine. Click here to be taken a page where you can find the to the current edition of Ginger Scrap Street and the sister magazine Scrap Street . How cool is that?! All I will share for now about the feature is that it was a western card...other then that you will just have to wait until June to check it out! Be sure to subscribe to the magazine to get an emailed link to the new issue each month. The last page of the magazine is where you can sign up for this. Oh and once you click on a section (for example the cover article) you can then scroll down and you can flip page by page instead of  going back and heading to each section. This is what I did at first and missed numerous pages until I figured it out. I am sure you are all way too smart to do something silly like that though lol.

Somebunny Special

Happy Good Friday Everyone,
Sorry I have been lost this week but I have been crafting all day today and have some great projects to show you really soon! One card I made today was using my new Prisma coloured pencils. I got a great deal on them I was told. I got a pack of 70 pencils for 16.99 + tax. The tag said they were regular $34.99 and well when I see a great deal I grab it :) I actually went back the next day and got a second set lol. After using this brand I don't think I can ever go back to regular coloured pencils again! The image on my card is a free digital image from Sliekje Digi Stamps If you have never checked out this site you are in for a treat!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #5

Hello Crafters,
It's that time again...Birthday Sundaes challenge time! This week the challenge is anything goes! I decided I should do another card for the set I started a while back with the mini monsters cartridge. I tend to make very girly cards (have you noticed my princess obsession lol) and these monster cards are great for boys but still are cute enough that I enjoy making them. I did have to remind myself NOT to try and make the stitching perfect haha. Below is a picture and the details of my creation. Now pop on over to the Birthday Sundaes blog and see the great inspiration the other members of the design team have come up with and then go get creative! Don't forget the birthday sentiment on the front :)

All Creatures Great and Small Blog Hop

Welcome to the All Creatures Great and Small Blog Hop,
If you have just arrived here from Rhonda at Scrap Happens then you should still be stunned by the talent she just showed, lol. If you have just happened upon my blog and would like to start at the beginning then you want to head to Misty's blog  Deliteful Gifts. Today we are celebrating animals great and small. Below are a couple of masculine cards I made using up some of my stash. I choose the wolves because I think they are an animal with a bad reptuation but we must remember everything is on this earth for a reason and as long as we respect this we can all live in harmony. My cards today are very simple because well they are guy cards and they don't like frills I am told. (How can you not like frills!? lol)
Thanks for hopping on by your next stop is Vick at Melovebono and Scrapbooking
Happy hopping!

Ribbon Storage

Hello Craft world,
I am so excited! I have been doing some much needed organization in my craft room and it is starting to look and feel great! Don't you find that you are much more creative when everything is all neatly organized or is this just me? Anyways, last summer I went to a yard sale and found cute little shelves. The man told me he had made them himself for his wife years ago, He had $10 marked on each. It was getting late in the day and I had already brought a lot of stuff but I was thinking they would be about the right size for ribbon. He saw me thinking about it and told me he would sell them both for $5. I agreed thinking even if not for ribbon I could use them somewhere. What a great deal! Brian and I stopped at the hardware store and got a length of quarter inch round (think base boards). We varinshed the quarter inch round and he nail gunned it on for me. Tada now the shelf was perfect for ribbon because it couldn't roll off the front! I only wanted one done at the time because I didn't think I had enough ribbon for two. I Figured I would use the other one for something else and didn't want the lip on it. (I have no idea what I was thinking, lol). Just the other day we finally got around to finishing the second one as all my ribbon never really fit on the first, lol. Below is a picture of just the one and my overflow draw and then a picture of both hung side by side. Don't they look great?!
Thanks for looking!

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop

Hello Crafters,
My Pink stamper had a blog hop last night and after going through all the links I always feel so inspired! I have been hard at work in my scrap room today and have been using up a ton of scraps! Don't get too excited about me using up my stash though because I also went shopping :S Lets just say I am not going to do anywhere near as good in April as I did in March with my spending. Anyways, here is the card I created to link up to the blog hop. I used a Pink Cat Studio freebie again. I am just in love with this saying and more then likely am going to make you sick of it...just a heads up :)
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back in just a few hours with the latest Birthday Sundaes challenge. Off to bed now though...

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #3

***If you are looking for the April Bunny Blog Hop click here***
***If you are looking for the 100 follower giveaway click here***

Hello Crafters,
Another Birthday Sundaes challenge is up and running! This week it is 'anything goes'. Aren't these the best, the possiblities are endless! Our sponsor this week is Designed 2 Delight. Pop on over and check out their super cute and very reasonably priced stamps!

My card was made using the 'charmed' digital stamp by Designed 2 Delight and a free printable sentiment stamp by Pink Cat Studio. I coloured it with coloured pencils and as soon as I started I noticed there was this weird pattern happening like my paper was embossed. I realized my craft table doesn't have a smooth surface and it was creating the design. I kept going because I actually loved it!

Hope you can join the challenge this week there are some awesome prizes to be won check the Birthday Sundaes Challenge blog for more information!
Happy Crafting!

March Craft Spending and Use Your Stash Update

***If you are looking for the April Bunny Blog Hop click here***

Hello Crafters,
Here is a picture of a very small haul from this month:

(This isn't everything I bought but most times there was not enough worth taking a picture of...sounds good already doesn't it)!

Here are my totals for March:

March 2 - Dollarama $4.60
March 15 - Dollarama $5.75
March 15 - Frenchy's (buttons) $1.21
March 16 - Designed to Delight Digital Stamps $1.52
March 16 - Jessica Sprague $2.02
March 17 - Dollarama $1.15 (I'm not kidding you I NEEDED google eyes)
March 19 - Cricut Rewards Shipping for free cartridge $7.09
March 20 - Walmart $17.19
March 26 - Dollarama $2.30

Total - $42.83

Okay, this month I cut Michael's out completely and look how much that helped. And really I missed it a bit but not too much. Now, if it weren't for the dollar store I would be laughing :) I have actually been having a great time trying to use up some of my stash. It has almost become a thrill lol. Oh and by using my cricut rewards I was even able to get a free cartridge (minus the shipping which wasn't bad). Overall, a pretty decent month I do say so myself! Giving myself a pat on the back for this one!

How much do you spend on crafting? Do you even think about it? Honestly, before starting this I had no idea and never really thought about it...if I wanted it, I bought it! As bad as that sounds (spoiled princess much lol).

Think it over :)
